Taş, A1 – A3 seçimlerinde endüstri standardına göre kategorize edildiğinden tüm Thassos mermerleri eşit yaratılmamıştır (A1, en az kusurlu/en saf varyasyona sahip en yüksek derece ve A3 en düşük kalitedir).
